I have very mixed feelings about this one. I appreciated how Christie deals with the world changing. There is a feeling of nostalgia, and yet there's a clear warning about those who would glorify the past and how you just can't do that in a healthy way. This is set in the mid-60s, and Christie doesn't try to shoehorn the kind of book she would have written in the 30s and 40s there. At Bertram’s Hotel is an Agatha Christie with Miss Marple. It has all the red herrings, interesting characters and twists and turns to keep you guessing. I liked the setting of a hotel for a certain class of character in London, it reminded me of Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont in some ways, cozy and classic and yet dated and of a time gone bye. Miss Marple goes on a holiday to the quaint Bertram Hotel in London. There she is met with a new mystery. She combines forces with Chief Inspector Davy to solve the crime.

This has been one of my favorite Agatha Christie books that I have read so far. I do wish Miss Marple was a little more prominent in the story but it is very good none the less. There are lots of plot twists and thou I usually figure out who did it, this one had me stumped.
