Much better than the last one. The rapport between Harriet and Lord Peter is fun to read about, but the actual mystery felt overly dragged out.

The second Lord Peter Wimsey novel to include Harriet Vane. She discovers a body on an off-shore rock. A hotel dance partner, was he a gigolo or a Russian Royal. Suicide or murder? If murdered, can the alibis of his aging fiancee's son, and of the itinerant barber, hiker, camper, motorist, fishermen, be broken. Good but not great, still a bit heavy on the logic problem/crossword fad of that era. One to be avoided on audiobook. Great big reams of codes that are important to the plot but impossible to read out loud.
