Perhaps it was the first in the series that written years after the first lot, but the story lost its umph from the get go. This book wafts around too much on loose threads and ideas to try and set the scene for the next generation and in doing so is not only boring but feels like I wasted part of my life reading it. Not really wanting to continue with the next books in the new series if they continue to be more of the same. Seriously for me the series should have ended with the previous book. S

Bit of a weak ending, but then again this is a 12 book series so the installments have to end somewhere! Poor Lord Edward....
