As the Poldark series continues, the French Revolution casts its shadow over England. I love this series. The characters are painted so well in this novel.
You get a true sense of Demelza's wits in the third installment. She trusts her intuition, and if you have watched the series, you know she is right to do so.
The novel also gives you more of the inner thoughts of Ross, to understand his character faults more fully. He is not a hero that you can love all the time, and that is what makes the series so great. No man is perfect, and Ross is a prime example. If you watch the serie ...more
