Cassandra Clare just keeps getting better. Her writing style is consistant as clockwork (haha PUNNY!), with several main ingrediants that I just can't get enough of. There is the strong female protagonist in smart and poetic Tessa, the dangerously charming and laugh-out-loud love interest in Will, the sweet and caring more soft-spoken admirer in Jem, and of course mystery, action, love and gut-wrenching plot twists abound.

I personally like the Mortal Instruments better than the Infernal Devices. This story was slower than Clare's other books. I felt like she was drawing the descriptions out to make to book longer. I sort of dreaded reading the book at first, but I had heard so many people tell me it was worth reading I decided to try it.
