In Clockwork Angel we are introduced to Theresa Grey(Tessa). After the recent death of her aunt Harriet Tessa's older brother and only sibling Nate sends a letter that includes a ticket, telling Tessa to come to him in England. Upon her arrival Tessa learns she that she will be accompanied to London by the Dark sisters. But this is not so, Tessa is held against her will and forced to learn to use an ability she had no idea that she possessed. Tessa is a shape shifter and is now in a world she never knew exsisted. Tessa agrees to do what the Dark sisters ask in good faith that she will get to see her brother. She has no idea that the Dark sisters are training her so that she can be married and bonded to the Magister.

And that he will stop at nothing to make it happen...

My thoughts
Clockwork Angel was a rollercoaster of suspense. I very much enjoyed these characters and the storylines within. The whole idea of mechanical people was very cutting edge as well. Since robotics is well before it's time in Clockwork Angel, especially being as though this story takes place in the 1800's. Who would have thunk it?!:)

The Characters
I loved seeing my fave Warlock Magnus Bane and i look forward to more of him. I loved the dynamics btwn Will and Jem the way they need and understand eachother. I am not a love triangle fan but somehow Tessa, Will and Jem all balance eachother out. Charlotte is amazing I love that a woman is running the show, i mean who better to do the job?!;) And Henry, i loves him!!! He is a true mad genius! It is also fun to see him working on inventions that future Shadowhunter's now use. Nice touch Cassandra Clare!

Cassandra Clare just keeps getting better. Her writing style is consistant as clockwork (haha PUNNY!), with several main ingrediants that I just can't get enough of. There is the strong female protagonist in smart and poetic Tessa, the dangerously charming and laugh-out-loud love interest in Will, the sweet and caring more soft-spoken admirer in Jem, and of course mystery, action, love and gut-wrenching plot twists abound.

I personally like the Mortal Instruments better than the Infernal Devices. This story was slower than Clare's other books. I felt like she was drawing the descriptions out to make to book longer. I sort of dreaded reading the book at first, but I had heard so many people tell me it was worth reading I decided to try it.
I really did not like the Enclave and Will. I was rooting for him in the beginning, by the end of the book I was really starting to wish he wasn't a character. I think that Clare ...more
