Finally finished one of the most widely read and popular touchstones of modern fantasy, my first Sanderson novel and probably won't be my last either.

I understand the fuss, a great sweeping epic, really excellent worldbuilding and unique ideas to explore. Sanderson is very good at the almost 'elevator' pitch in fantasy scenarios.

Mistborn was a very good introduction to a sci-fi fantasy book. It was epic without having the feeling of being lost or confused. Sure.... the physics of it all is completely weird but I just have to remember to separate myself from reality when dealing with the physics of magic.

I liked a lot of things in this book. The character development, the strange world building, the magic. It is interesting to discover the powers of the different type of characters. I also liked the fact that secondary characters were also important and had a reason to be there. I will read the rest of the trilogy!
