It was entertaining, at most.
Definitely not what I was expecting tho.
I loved the little glimpses into mexican food and culture. The magical realism , which I know is not everyone's cup of tea, I think it was endearing and went really well with the writing style of the author.
But I'm sorry to say I wasn't a fan of the love story. It was very problematic and honestly, Pedro the love interest, wasn't likeable at all.
Also, I was expecting strong family bonds, but turns out we find out very unhealt ...more
