Das Buch, das mich in meinen frühen Zwanzigern so geprägt hat wie kein anderes, mit Anfang Dreißig nochmal zu lesen, war ein Erlebnis. Ich liebe es zwar immer noch, aber natürlich ist es nicht mega gut gealtert. Mara leidet am "not like other girls"-Syndrom und auch Noah ist in vielen Momenten eine Spur zu besitzergreifend und übergriffig. Die Dialoge, die ich vor zehn Jahren noch gefeiert habe, wirken heute leicht cringey und outdated. Trotzdem liebe ich die beklemmende Atmosphäre und ja, ...more

The type of book you really regret not getting all in the series at once! It was frustrating and spooky and beautiful! I can't wait to see what happens next! I at first disliked the cliche the characters possessed but they evolve quickly and the banter between Mara and just about everyone else in the book is spectacular! Love love loved it!

Was Okay.
Not great. Expected Alot. But its trilogy so story building and back-story and character building is bit slow. As we read and reaching towards end its started really getting better.
And the ending that Cliff hanger didn't see that one coming, and that mean second book is going to be awesome and definitely will be better that this one.
And By saying that, i don't mean that was not bad, NOPE. Story is just started we get to know some parts of it.

I kinda had a difficult time at the beginning of the story. It s so cheesy some times... The whole"love you/hate you" situation drove me crazy sometimes. But in the middle of the book, things started to get more intrigant and interesting -still with a little bit of cheesyness- and then there was the ending. THAT ENDING!! Overall a pretty great book, can't wait to put my hands on the second one.

Me lo sentivo che sarebbe finito col botto ed infatti è così. Dio, non me lo sarei mai aspettato un finale del genere. Okay, Mara è irritante il più delle volte e verso la fine non si riesce più a distinguere la realtà dalla finzione ma cavolo la voglia di continuare la serie c'è di sicuro :D.
Non vedo l'ora di scoprire come continuerà! :D ...more

I loved the eerie, creepy, psychological feel with the light-ish paranormal/supernatural elements mixed in. & the romance was I mean yanno hello there Noah Shaw(; Very glad I bought the second book bc THAT ENDING. WHAT EVEN.
