Intriguing. Love the Precept of the Month the teacher. Liked the voice of Auggie's older sister and how his disability impacted her. Overall good story and very engaging for children. I would recommend every 4th and 5th grade teacher read this aloud. Lots of community building and classroom ethics can be created from discussing this book with children.

Auggie has been homeschooled for his whole life, but the year he is to enter fifth grade his parent encourage him to attend a real school for the first time. Wow! Truly WONDERful!! Glad I read this story. I would recommend it to anyone. Wish we could change people the way people in this story were changed. If this story makes one person think I can change and be kind to others that are different than me it is worth so much more than the paper it is written upon.

I'd heard a lot of buzz about this book and was happy for the opportunity to read it for one of my book clubs. It is a great story with a message about the value of each person, regardless of looks. Great story!
