Felt like I knew the characters.

They are two opposites in every way and yet they are extremely attracted to one another. Their relationship develops and they become even more appreciative of their differences as each one grows off the strengths of the other. Eleanor helps him overcome his over protective parents and he helps her come out of her shell. When her home life becomes intolerable, he helps her run away. Sadly this results in her putting an end to their relationship.

Sometimes I get tired of things coming between young couples that shouldn't... like hunger games or the revolt of divergents... so it's nice to read a book that is plain and simple about young love and how it grows. Nothing earth shattering here - but it sure was cute!! ...more

Such a beautiful story. I so badly want to give it five stars but unfortunately the racism demands that a star be taken off. In true Rainbow Rowell fashion, the ending left me wanting more. I would love a sequel to find out what happened to all of the characters.
