I just read this in a day! So good! The ending was a complete shocker-my favorite kind.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get into this book as much as I had hoped. I’ve enjoyed Mary Kubica’s other books, but this one didn’t have me reaching for it... I read the paperback about halfway and then couldn’t get back into it. I got the digital audio from my library to finish the book. I liked Quinn’s character development, but not so much Alex. So I would race through Quinn’s chapters and then stop at Alex. The ending was good, so maybe I read this book at the wrong time.

I love Mary Kubica! I figured out where the novel was going but still loved it. Suspenseful until the very end, which is what I've come to expect from her. A great, quick read. ...more

I picked this one up at Barnes and Noble one day when I was killing time before my night class. I started reading it that day and finished it a couple of days later! I originally bought it because the author of one of my all-time favorite books, Caroline Kepnes, recommended reading Mary Kubica’s work.

Unfortunately, I found this book to be really disappointing. I quite enjoyed Kubica's first two books, so I was very excited to read this one. I found it to be slow and a bit on the boring side. It took me well over a month to drag myself through this book. I kept hoping it would get better, but it just never did. ...more
