Well, it's about time I started this series, don't you think? This series has not only been out forever with amazing recommendations, but it focuses on Greek mythology which I LOVE. So fail on me. But I am rectifying that mistake now, so yay?

4.5 stars.
I'm so glad I finally read this. I'd been putting it off since it's middle grade and I didn't think I would really enjoy it. Somehow, it had gotten the reputation of a poor man's Harry Potter in my mind. I was so wrong. I have expected a gud story and not gods ands heroes. Thats all bullshit.
And even if I dont believe in god that doesnt mean I would agree with this kind of insult to gods. Gods sleeping with human .....just doesnt seems right. One can give more respect than that.
And one thing is just stupid as it is. Gods fought in World War 2 and after that took oath to river stynx that they wont sire any child.
urghhhhh.....such a stupid thing. Medusa....has become aunty (grandmother) ...more

The book is about a twelve year old boy, who is ADHD and Dyslexic, who learns he is the son of a god. One of the 'big three' to be exact. After he finds out he is a demigod, he is sent on a quest, along with two friends, to retrieve Zeus' master bolt from the Underworld. The journey to the underworld isn't an easy one though.
