Been SAVING this one to read and am so glad that I did, as it was good enough to warrant a wait. :0) I have always loved Christie, yet my limited access to books whilst in my 'Christie phase' meant that this title always alluded me. FINALLY read it and listened to the audio (simultaneously) and it was super fun! As good as the hype, but the ending was really a bit too 'fairy tale' for me. I like her books a bit darker. Well that was fun! This was surprisingly my first Christie book, but now I’m hungry for more. I can definitely see myself starting the series from the beginning and reading 1 a month.

Bleh definitely wouldn't have picked this one up myself. Only read it for a challenge that required a train on the cover, which didn't leave me much option. I think I need to watch the movie now though XD Even though I didn't pay much attention in the middle, I know the ending. Don't see how it could become movie-length though, but hey guess I'll find out.
The narrator was exceptional, I have to say. All of the different nationalities and accents, tone of voice, gender. It was all done so well. A ...more

There is definitely profiling and outdated prejudice present in this novel, but it is still an entertaining and well-crafted read. The mystery holds out well until the end and, though not a completely shocking reveal, does keep one guessing.

This book reminded me why I was so crazy about Agatha Christie books!

The plot unfolds in such a way that you can't imagine it fully even if you try!

And Hercule Poirot.. This creation of hers is amazing!

The way he makes his deductions from seemingly irrelevant things or information no one thought important.. Not even the reader who tried his or her best!

This one was a super read...I read well past midnight yesterday and reluctantly put it down! ...more
