What Members Thought

I know a lot of my friends here on Goodreads will kill me when they see this rating, but I just couldn't... I'm sorry!
I didn't really understand this book, like at all? Like I get it, but at the same time I don't get it. Like what even was this about? I felt, ironically, like I was stuck in someone's confusing dream the entire time I was reading this.

But I didn't hate it at all. It was just... confusing...

I really enjoyed the fast pace of this book. All the characters were unique in their own way and I'm so glad I picked it back up to give it another try. The ending was very intense and you never knew what was going to happen next. I have a huge feeling I will be binge reading this entire series. Onto The Dream Thieves I go!

4.5 Stars!
The Raven Boys was an amazing read with a fantastic cast of characters and an intriguing plot.
Every year Blue Sargent helps her clairvoyant mother make a list of the soon-to-be dead who will die in the next year. Blue has never seen the dead herself before until this year when a boy emerges and speaks directly to her. Blue discovers that boy is named Gansey and he's a student at the prestigious Aglionby Academy. Blue has a rule to avoid Aglionby boys but she finds herself drawn to Gans ...more

I seriously enjoyed this book :|
From the very beginning of this novel it seemed like something special, there was just something about the way it was written that really appealed to me, and it was seriously surprising that something could be so enjoyable from the get go - it's really not something that happens often.
The characters were well written and relatable, and what I thought to be plot holes turned out not to be in the end; it was kind of like how in media someone will feign an in ...more

Wow, I absolutely loved this book, which is definitely a surprise. I've heard about this book for years, but never actually picked it up to read. The first book I read from this author was Shiver and I was definitely not a fan, felt like a definite chore to finish it. So, I was hesitant to pick this one up. Luckily, I was proven wrong. I love all of the characters, am so glad that Noah is still with them despite being a ghost, and I am left savoring for what is going to happen next. Is that prem

Wow! This was a great book. I am ready to read the second book. I didn't know what to expect going into the story. I have never read anything by this author and my friends had mixed feelings about this book. Major twists happened.

This books was not at all what I expected! It was so beautiful and well written, the characters were portrayed so well and the storyline had me hooked from the beginning!
I finished this book in 1.5 sitting, because I could literally not put it down. The author manages to captures so many different personalities and ways of thinking without making it cliché, I love the twists and turns of it and I can’t wait to keep reading this series!

an ok book. I found the audio so confusing and poorly done I had to restart is in physical.
the characters are interesting. I like how we get to learn about the dynamics of the 4 boys through the MC eyes ad how she gets accepted into the group.
Although I feel like overall not much happened in this book I see a lot of potential as far as the paranormal- the ley lines and the dead king and the paranormal abilities of the MC's family- for the second and third books. ...more

I wasn't really sure about this book for a while.. I'm still not 100% but I really like the dynamic between Blue and her "family" and also obviously between all the Boys. Definitely looking forward to reading the next book to see where everything goes, and see if I can get myself off the fence. Overall, a good read.
