This book fueled my depression!
I don't understand why. It is not a bad book, it's actually a very well written book. Had I finished it, I would have definitely given it a high rating. Hell, I was past 60%!
It is one of the very very few books that actually do a good job with Greek mythology. But for some reason even the thought of getting back to it makes me sad.

This was THE BOOK of 2018 and I can see why. It is very cleverly crafted and I loved how all the different myths were weaved into the story. (It is literally my favorite genre ever) Between, her two books, I do like The Song of Achilles more, but this is definitely one of the top reads I've had th

Great book! I loved the retelling of the old Greek myths and I fell in love with Circe within the first few pages. The tone and ambiance of the book was like no other I've read before and it was refreshing to say the least. Madeline Miller is a great writer and I thoroughly enjoyed her style. There were some parts in the book that felt a little slow to me, but otherwise I would recommend this book in a heartbeat for historical fiction and fantasy lovers.
