5th time reading 2022
For some reason, all the death and sad parts of this book really got to me this time. It just felt like one blow after another and I wonder is somewhere there's a death count for the series. It's easily hundreds of people and so many of them deserved better. It does make the story more compelling, because at any moment a character you like could be next on the chopping block.
Ella cracks me up, even after five reads. Her sarcasm is funny and I love when she messes with Nik. ...more

Finally I have this juicy baby in my hands ♥ It's so good to flip these pages full of good stuff *___*
Now I regret I read Illuminae's ebook version. I feel like I need the paperback to re-read it RIGHT NOW BECAUSE THE GRAPHIC DESIGN IS SO GORGEOUS AND NOW I KNOW THE EBOOK WAS A LITTLE SHIAT!!!!
Read 21~23/o4/2o17
Little personal recap: Ok, at the end I obviously bought Illuminae too (can you see how can I be so dumb?) and I jumped right on it as soon as I got it because I wanted ...more

No one's surprised to see another five stars review for this book. I mean, have you read this book? Cause I finally have after way too many years since it's been published. Better late than never, right?
Gemina focused on another couple, Hanna and Nik. She's the daughter of the Commander on Heimdall and he's a dealer coming from a criminal family. Their dads couldn't be more different. One is great and the other, not so much. Even though Hanna and Nik were the focus here, we got to see characters ...more

Gemina is the second book in the Illuminae Files and it doesn't disappoint. It's just as wonderful and amazing on the first one!
Introducing two new character, Nik Malikov and Hanna Donnelly must save not only themselves, but everyone aboard the Hypatia from invaders and alien predators.
I found myself quickly liking Hanna. She is a no-nonsense individual, who will make you pay in a heartbeat. She went through so much and remain amazingly resilient throughout. Even in the face of fear, she remai ...more

I loved this book just as much as the first one it also had a group of very compelling characters and a great story. I loved the characters so much my favorites were Hanna,Nik and Ella I really liked the strong female character that Hanna was which was to fight on no matter what. I liked Nik for how selfless and just how great in a crisis he was. I really loved Ella for her no nonsense approach on life I liked how witty and I just liked how interesting she was. I also loved the relationship that

Gemina was everything I wanted it to be: gritty, witty, and adventuresome. I love the concept of surviving in outer space. And this book brought that concept to the next level with not only alien life forms that fed on brains, but also with a team of soldiers infiltrating the space ship. It was a high-stakes book and it always kept me on my toes and wanting to know more. I’m still a little confused about how gemina particles were important to the story, but overall I loved Hanna and Niklas’s sto
