In this sequel to Scythe, Rowan has gone rogue and is now calling himself “Scythe Lucifer.” He has taken it upon himself to kill corrupt scythes. Citra is also doing what she can to take this group of scythes down, but from the inside.

This was an amazing book! I really don’t think it suffered from the “second book syndrome” many second books in trilogies suffer from. More characters are introduced, and I really appreciated how they all played a crucial role and weren’t just thrown in there.

I'm still enjoying this series and am excited to pick up the final novel in the trilogy. This world and technology is fascinating. The politics Shusterman has written in are fantastic. I wish I was more attached or emotionally effected by the things that happen to the characters, but other than that this was a satisfying read with a pretty amazing cliffhanger that makes you want to pick up the next one as soon as possible. ...more

This book is the second installment in the Arc of the Scythe series. I enjoyed the first installment in this series where certain individuals are chosen to glean individuals at a specific time. The scythes have to go through some training to become an official scythe. With the first book I was addicted to figure out how it was going to end. Now, after I’ve read all of the second book I feel the exact same way because of how interesting the series is getting! I’m not sure how I’m going to survive ...more

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTT???? WHAT WAS THAT LAST 10%?!?!?!?!?

Another fantastic book in this great series. The plot twists man! The plot twists just keep getting me. There was just soooooo much going on in this book and I can't wait to pick up the third book! I NEED ANSWERS!
