**NEW RULE**
For this 2-month challenge and our upcoming June one, we are doing something a little different. At the end of our Series Quarterly Challenge there will be one winner that wins a prize of getting to choose a book from bookdepository.com. They can pick any book up to $10. For this to happen, we will be combining the points from this challenge, our June challenge, and our Series Quarterly together to pick that winner.

~ Giulia ~ wrote: "Sorry for the question, what is a genre minority main character?"

A character that you wouldn't normally see in a certain genre. So like for fantasy, I'd consider a minority POC, characters that aren't straight and disabled characters. It's basically anyone you don't normally see represented in a genre. I hope this helps??

~ Giulia ~ | 689 comments Here's a tentative list of books I'll try to read in the first half of the month:
*A translated book Personal (Jack Reacher, #19) by Lee Child (I'm reading the Italian edition)
*A book set in Africa La chioma di Berenice by Denis Guedj (set in ancient Egypt)
*A book set in NYC Murder on Washington Square (Gaslight Mystery, #4) by Victoria Thompson (There's also a detective and a deaf side character if you prefer to put it in another category)
*A patriotic book/book that is color(s) of your nation’s flag The Queen of Attolia - Sang Ratu dari Attolia by Megan Whalen Turner (does this count? There's green, white and red on the queen's clothes and ornaments)

hmmm, if it fits under one of the categories under Batman... maybe: A book with an orphan main character?? I mean it would make sense for a superhero to fit under his own one

message 40: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8239 comments What's the other Batman category? I would think he should also fit one of those. Not sure how much they changed for these books. The categories are based on a lot of the popular stuff with the heroes.

message 49: by Kaya (new)

Kaya | 142 comments Hey guys! I'm so excited to join the team! Maybe I could do
Stalking Jack the Ripper (Stalking Jack the Ripper, #1) by Kerri Maniscalco for either Batman: A book about a detective(because its a mystery) or Iron Man: Inventor/scientist(because she's a forensic scientist)?

The Raven King (The Raven Cycle, #4) by Maggie Stiefvater I don't know if its blue enough but maybe this could work for the Aquaman one?

I'm also reading many short stories for class so maybe I could take the Flash short story challenge as well?
