Reread October 2019
I didn’t enjoy this as much on a reread and I have taken a star away. I wanted to reread the series so far before The Toll is released. Having read Scythe only a couple of weeks ago,Thunderhead does not compare. It is definitely a middle book. Still good though! Am looking forward to the final installment.

Wow, this book made me so mad, but in the best way possible.

Our protagonists suffer so much in this book and it was great but also horrible. I'm simultaneously in love with this book and so so so mad at the events that happened and WHAT DO I DO WITH MYSELF FOR THE NEXT YEAR!?! I really hope the next book will be called Unsavory.

It's funny because as I was reading this I thought, wow this is still amazing but not as intense as the first one - then that ending happened. WHAT THE HELL SHUSTERMAN?? HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO US???

Thunderhead picks up where Scythe left off and once again, it grips you. It pulled me in and I was eager to continue reading it and see where all the twists and turns were going to lead.

Scythe Anastasia really comes into her own throughout this novel. She learns what it means to be a scythe and figures out how she is going to define it herself and goes with it. At the same time, she becomes this role model for some of the scythes as to what they should act like and how they should glean.

Tahle série je prostě boží a tenhle rereading to jenom potvrzuje.

V druhém díle se nám z Citry stala smrtka Anastázia a z Rowana "smrtka" Lucifer. Taky tu máme postatně více postav a to hlavně Greysona! Moje nejoblibenější věc na této sérii je ale prostě ten svět a tady se nám ty znalosti o něm podstatně rozšiřují. Nemůžu se dočkat až se zase pustím do posledního dílu! ...more

4 stars. This was an awesome follow up to book one. I think I enjoyed this one even more than that one. I loved all of the new characters and point of views we get in this one. I still really like Rowan and Citra but the side characters were just as interesting if not even more than they were.
