Q: “We're not courting trouble," I say. "Flirting with it, at most.” (c)
Q: “I swear, you would play the coquette with a well-upholstered sofa."
"First, I would not. And second, how handsome is this sofa?” (c)
Q: “... I've always been of the mind that subtlety is a waste of time. Fortune favors the flirtatious.” (c)
A bit rriddiculous but sweet lovey-dovey story.

This was an adventure from beginning to end!
Monty is taking a tour through Europe with his best friend Percy and sister, Felicity. Afterwards, Monty is supposed to settled down and take care of the estate while Percy will go off to law school, but things take a wrong turn and don't go as planned.
All of these characters were really quite loveable right off the bat. Monty had a lot of flaws and those are honestly what make him so loveable. He has all these flaws mixed with humor and even those he ...more

This book has several very intriguing facets, but it was ruined for me because of Monty.
Lord Henry Montague is a privileged white boy who is oblivious to his narcissistic entitlement. I want to like this book, but omfg is Monty irritating. This book is his soap box about how his life is so so so tragic. I was not a fan of the Monty show. Especially since tagging along with Monty are his sister Felicity, who must battle for every little thing as a woman, and Percy, his friend who is black and con ...more

Oh I needed this book. Talk about a breath of fresh air.
18 year old Henry Montague was born into a life of luxury and privilege - a life that he pretty much thrives in. There's just a few problems. Henry, or Monty as he likes to be called, does not want to follow in his fathers footsteps and become Lord of the estate much to his father's displeasure. And then there's Monty's playboy ways - with both sexes. Pretty much anything he does is a let down to his father. But there is one const ...more

I got swept away by hype and in the end this book wasn't really my cup of tea.
What I liked...
- Henry - His character development was quite good. He didn't have the best approach to most things but his intentions were good.
- Pirates
- Youngest of Montague siblings is named Goblin which I think is hilarious!
What I didn't like...
- Henry - Why I have him in boht sections you ask? It's easy. Most of the times he was just drinking, didn't care about other people then himself and arrogant. I'm glad he ...more

I actually enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I received it from the Owlcrate subscription box a few months back. I attempted to read it in December but I just couldn't get into it. I then borrowed it from the library via audio book. It was read by Christian Coulson who played Tom Riddle in Harry Potter. Honestly that's why I downloaded the audio book and I quite enjoyed with reading of it. Although I did enjoy the book, I think I enjoyed the way it was read more than the actual nove

I'm disappointed that I didn't like this book as much as everyone else. It's raged and raved about so much, and I had high hopes, but I was let down :( I didn't like Monty as a character, he was too (view spoiler) The sister was awesome, how she (view spoiler)

I loved this and I couldn't stop listening to it on audiobook.
It had times where I literally laughed out loud and times when the tension was almost too much to bear.
Would recommend this probably to people who love YA, diverse reads and comedy. ...more

This book is ineffably delightful. The romance between Monty and Percy is heartwarming, raw, and electric, all at the same time! Felicity's acerbic retorts give me life! The attention this book pays to historical grandeur, race relations, gender relations, disability, and geographical landmarks is superb.
