I loved this book so much I really loved the library theme of it a unique idea that I have never read about before. I really liked the characters especially Elisabeth,Nathaniel and Silas I liked how the relationship between them developed at a not too slow pace it was really interesting to read about. I liked Silas even if he is a demon he was very interesting to read about and he really cared for Nathaniel since he had been with him his whole life and had come to really love him. I liked Elisab

I really enjoyed this. The fact that she was a protector of books in training was only one of the first interesting things about the book. Sorcery, demons, political drama, ghosts, magic and more. The book was fast paced and there was a decent amount of action. While I didn’t find it to drag it was a bit long at times and I just wanted some scenes to end already. Elisabeth and Nathaniel were both fun and interesting characters though I think I like her spunk, tenacity and devotion of all things

I really liked the magic system in Sorcery of Thorns. Each sorcerer draws on their power by making deals with demons they summon through a pentagram. Nathaniel, for example, bargained away 20 years of his life to draw on his demon Silas's power.
Elisabeth has been raised to stay away from sorcery and demonic powers. She grew up in one of the great libraries where grimoires, books that were created by sorcerers through sacrifices, are prevented from escaping with iron bars and salt rounds. If they ...more

This was such a fun read!
I thought this flowed pretty well and was never bored. I liked Elisabeth, she's smart and strong and kind and she balanced Nathaniel well. Her relationship with the grimoires was so cool and who wouldn't want to grow up in a library? LOL. I do wish we would have spent more time at the library and learned more about the grimoires, they're so interesting and I feel like we only skimmed the surface. Oh. My. God.
The first thing I did after finishing the book was to gush incoherently because I could not believe it ended.
The writer wrote in such compelling way that it made me fell in love with all the characters, care for them, and sucked into this wonderful fictional world.
It definitely has its flows though. The plot is simple and very predictable, the characters may be what you've read before in countless other novel. But I just enjoy it with how everything is put together.

"Sorcery of Thorns" is a book for book lovers. I love it when a book feels like it is speaking directly to your soul.
I did not read much about this book before I started reading, but I quickly became enthralled in the story with the opening line, “Night fell as death rode into the Great Library of Summershall.” Is there a better hook? I immediately had to know what was going on and what kind of shenanigans were happening in a library.
