I love this world and magic. One of my favorite things about this book are Grimoires! They have a soul and personality. It's amazing. I like interactions between main characters as well. What a magical book about libraries and those who are raised in them.

Sorcery of Thorns follows library apprentice, Elisabeth. She dreams of becoming a Warden one day, which is a protector of the books the libraries house. However, she'd be protecting the townsfolk from these books. For the books in the library are dangerous and contain powerful magic that can turn evil.

THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD! I was interested in it at the start, and then it kind of died down and I lost that intrigue. But I saw it was the Book of the Month for a new book club run by some youtubers I watch, and it was on sale on Kindle, so I picked it up! And boy I loved it, all of it! It also took me a very long time to read, a bit a day, which I think helped. I retained a lot more details, and it was more enjoyable, not forcing myself to read it.

"Sorcery of Thorns" is a book for book lovers. I love it when a book feels like it is speaking directly to your soul.

I did not read much about this book before I started reading, but I quickly became enthralled in the story with the opening line, “Night fell as death rode into the Great Library of Summershall.” Is there a better hook? I immediately had to know what was going on and what kind of shenanigans were happening in a library.
