I loved the first half of this, but I did lose interest in the second half. I did think I would enjoy this as much as Dark Matter, but I didn’t. It was pretty thought provoking: I know exactly what I’d like to do over again (not telling you!) , just as you probably do. It wasn’t really that the science was too complicated. I think the book definitely explored the ramifications of such science and the consequences of such a chair. Events very rapidly spiralling out of control is I am sure an accu ...more

I keep saying I am not into sci-fi because I prefer more realistic readings; however, I ask the rhetorical question the why do I keep finding when I'm have to read one that I like them more than I thought? LOL Yet, I will never pick a sci-fi book if I don't need it for a good reason.

That being said, I thought this book was pretty good for sci-fi. LOL (Sorry sci-fi lovers.) What was hard for me was the time travel aspect, the fact that it isn't realistic. LOL But I guess that's what sci-fi is.

A pandora’s box that kept on giving…
me - headaches, exhilaration palpitations, the surrealist feeling of being IN a train wreck + watching it @ the same time, and the acutest urge to scream, cry, throw up-a fit because I inhaled it all in one go instead of savouring it.
As the book gods probably would’ve wanted me to.

This was better than any action / science fiction movie I’ve watched recently, and TRUST, I am watching. At all times. Perhaps why my reading slump is at its peak and I cannot hol

The book definitely raised a few quibbles for me (ending, method of possible world destruction, connection to Alzheimer's) but I liked the concept and the attempts to do over until you got it right plot. Barry and Helena's stories are separate for a good portion of the book while they question the action until they get to what the problem actually is and try to do something about it. This and their attempts to resolve the problem work for me. What didn't was their relationship which was one of t ...more

4.5 stars!

This is my second Blake Crouch book and I am hooked! Crouch really knows how to take you on a journey that is emotional, thrilling and mind-boggling. Parts of the plot were hard to follow at times because time jumps around and back and forth so much but I know now that this was intentional. I really enjoy the author’s writing and the twists and turns which kept me on the edge of my seat. I can’t wait to read another one of his books.

Read this in a day, it had me hooked. I expected a bit more of an exciting ending, other than that i really enjoyed this book.
