YAY! The proud GR 2019 Choice winner! For once, I'm in agreement with the voting!

“My soul knows your soul. In any time.” (c)
Q:
“This is some kind of hell,” she says, dark. “Ready to come down to the lab and kill me again, darling?” (c)

Don't let any chairs destroy the world. Even cushy ones.

A bit disjointed but nevertheless engrossing read.

The end... Hmmm, so did they live happily ever after or did the whole rigmarole restart?

I loved the first half of this, but I did lose interest in the second half. I did think I would enjoy this as much as Dark Matter, but I didn’t. It was pretty thought provoking: I know exactly what I’d like to do over again (not telling you!) , just as you probably do. It wasn’t really that the science was too complicated. I think the book definitely explored the ramifications of such science and the consequences of such a chair. Events very rapidly spiralling out of control is I am sure an accu ...more

I still think The Light Brigade by Kameron Hurley deserved best sci-fi book of the year but wooo boy do I understand why this book won. It must be quite an adventure being inside Blake Crouch's head. I mean, the man has to be utterly exhausted all of the time with the way his mind works.

To describe this book would give a lot away. Also, it's pretty hard to describe this book because it was such a mind-f*ck that I'm not even sure I could accurately describe it. It was a heck of a ride, though! I

”Time is an illusion, a construct made out of human memory. There’s no such thing as the past, the present, or the future. It’s all happening now.”

5 stars. This book blew my mind. I still can’t wrap my head around everything that happened in this but it was such an entertaining and thought provoking read for me. I suck at reviewing books that I loved, but here we are. I don’t have much to say honestly. The writing is great and the story is paced very well. There’s so much going on right from

I keep saying I am not into sci-fi because I prefer more realistic readings; however, I ask the rhetorical question the why do I keep finding when I'm have to read one that I like them more than I thought? LOL Yet, I will never pick a sci-fi book if I don't need it for a good reason.

That being said, I thought this book was pretty good for sci-fi. LOL (Sorry sci-fi lovers.) What was hard for me was the time travel aspect, the fact that it isn't realistic. LOL But I guess that's what sci-fi is.

Whew! Sometimes you read a book and feel dizzy trying to keep up and still enjoy it so much you don't want to put it down! This was one such read for me.

The very concept was imagined so well. We often wonder if we could go back in time to start over or to prevent something from happening. By now we know that there is a paradox that exists as far as time travel and tampering with the past are concerned but we still want to.

Here Helena Smith wanted to give people the chance to experience a p

Hiding most of this review due to spoilers.

This book was quite an endeavor for an author to take on, the concept of it is intimidating. So I have to give the author a lot of credit in trying to tackle such an immense idea. A lot of it worked. The last 150 pages didn’t.

I have never read Blake Crouch before and didn’t make the connection between this and the Wayward Pines books/show until after I got the book. This was an impulse buy. I was drawn in by the interesting cover, read the blurb and tho
