What Members Thought

Listen, this was so sappy but in the best way. Pulled at all my heartstrings and best of all, I felt seen in a weird beautiful way. My bisexual, Mexican-American little old self is very very happy with this book :’)

This book was one I went into knowing the hype surrounding it. I wasn't sure at first how I would feel about it. It has everything I love in books but it was my first fictional book dealing with politics and after 2016 I was scared lol. In the end though I had nothing to worry about and wound up falling in love with this book and I really wish it had been longer because I would have read a 100 more pages of Alex and Henry as well as Nora and June and Pez and basically all the characters.

I enjoyed this more upon reread. I couldn’t even tell you why, just that it was better the second time around. (Or third if you want to count the movie) The banter was fun, chemistry was excellent, and I must commend the accents in the audio. It really brought this book to life.
That ending though… it just made me sad for the real world. I wish it all played out this way.

Yesss. It's basically a fan fiction but no real life characters. Still feels a bit real but omg.. I would have killed for Henry POVs. I wanted to know more of him 😩 it was veryyy sweet. Now I am off to see the movie. Hopefully it's good 😅👀

I own this book.
I loved and adored this book and see when I say that I ate this up, I don't think I moved from my seat once while reading this. I picked up a copy after the movie dropped after this book being on my radar for so long, and honestly, I'm so glad I finally gave it a go. Easily one of my favourite reads of the year. ...more
