"I love him on purpose."
Why I Decided to Read This:
This was a buddy read. I've been putting off reading this book since March after I read One Last Stop.
Plot:
Alex is the First Son, and Henry is a prince. When they ruin a $75,000 cake, they have to pretend like they are best friends. But the more time they talk and spend together, the more their feelings for each other grow.

i honestly don’t know why i read this…i don’t like history or politics. i guess because it was so hyped up? (also—if you’ve gotten about 30% into the book and still don’t like it, that’s around when things start heating up, so maybe try sticking around for a bit longer to see if you really want to DNF it. i was super close to not finishing it at that point, but it got better right after.)
overall, this was a good book, just really overrated in my opinion.

Oh Henry and Alex are adorable and the "enemies who were really in love the whole time" thing really worked for me here. The romance was amazing, the friendships were amazing, the interactions between all of them were amazing.
However...
The politics in this novel something I had to force myself through at times. I completely understand wanting to have an idealistic world for your fluffy romance but making the political world look like something "fluffy" killed any possible realism this book could ...more

I don’t even know where to start with this. I just knew I would love it going in. British royal prince + the first son = sign me up. About 30% in I kept thinking to myself…”WTF did I sign up for?” There really aren’t any pros so I’m skipping straight to the cons.
ZERO chemistry between Henry and Alex. At least Henry was bit likable and believable as a character. Alex was smart and driven one minute and then immature and childish the next. I hate instalove and that really wasn’t the case here… it ...more

Kannattaa lukea. Ei olisi malttanut kirjaa laskea käsistään ollenkaan.
