The Forbidden Wish is a retelling of Aladdin where our female character is the Jinni and Aladdin is a thief.

The start of book did confuse me a little because there were so many things happening at once, but the story just got so much better and I was addicted. It made me want to continue reading and the writing style was so beautiful! The characters were so fun to read about, and I can't even express how much I LOVED the romance between Aladdin and the Jinni.

Lately I've been rewatching all the Disney movies, so I found this book based on the story of Aladdin and wondered: why not?
I could not have read this at a better time.
I went to this book without any expectations and I was totally surprised. Certainly one of my favorites this year, so far.
