It took me until about halfway through this book to get the grove of it down. I was having a really hard time in the start of the book keeping straight whose preservative we were reading from.
Once we got through that point though it got a lot better. I really enjoyed the plot of this book. I have read other reviews that think it is too slow or too vague, but that what I really liked. The plot wasn't spoon fed to you and it gave a great amount of time to build.

This was truly MAGICAL!
I read Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater last summer (2014) and liked the writing style but didn't care to much about the characters or plot and never picked up it's sequel Linger. That's why it took me so long to pick this series up even tough so many people I trust say they love this series.
A little over a 100 pages in I decided to go ahead and order The Dream Thieves and Blue Lily, Lily Blue because I was loving the first book so much already.

3.5 stars. I found the start of this quite confusing and I'm not going to lie I am still slightlyyy confused about certain elements of the magic / Glendover plot but not too much that I can't still enjoy the book.
I really enjoyed the array of characters in this and I am looking forward to continuing the series!
Took me a while to read but I think I have more time now to read the rest, so hopefully the series will only get better ...more

Blue Sargent has always been told that she will kill her true love. So when the Raven Boys show up in her life, including the egnimatic Gansey, she is at first determined to stay away. But of course things turn out a little differently.

I flew through this book much more quickly than I thought I would. I really liked the build-up of this book and it's left me with a feeling like "something's starting". Also liked that this book left me wanting more, wanting to know how things would continue from here, but not with a major cliffhanger like my life would depend on reading this series.

While I initially never had any plans to start this series, I was convinced by a few of my friends to read this book. I was very pleasantly surprised! The story was very wonderfully written and plotted. Very original. The characters were written very realistically. Can't wait to read the next book in this series!!

I don't know how I felt about this book. I did like it, but it was also sort of disappointing. I think that might be because it is so overly hyped and I just expected too much. When I was reading I was quite bored for the first 50 pages or so, then I would get super into it, then it would get boring again, and then it would end on a high note.
