Just finished rereading The Raven Boys and I'm definitely keeping my 5 star rating for the book because IT WAS STILL SO AMAZING! Now, finally on to The Dream Thieves!!!

I'm disappointed in this one. I've been looking forward to reading it for a while, and since I knew I wouldn't have time, I grabbed it on audiobook from the library.
I don't want to make this a long a review since everyone has pretty much read this, and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who didn't enjoy it :x

Ok so I'm pretty torn right now on this book and whether to continue on with the series.
I'd heard so many glowing reviews, and don't get me wrong, I can see why people enjoyed it. It was well written, but the style was one I found hard to get into. The premise was also unique (the ley lines part - not the 'if you kiss your true love he will die' part *eyerolls*) and there were a good cast of characters, but none that I felt particularly invested in.

This was a really fast read that I couldn't put down while I was reading it. I liked it so much more than the other books I've read by Maggie Steifvater so thank goodness for that. I was worried it would be too much of a paranormal romance for ...more

I flew through this book much more quickly than I thought I would. I really liked the build-up of this book and it's left me with a feeling like "something's starting". Also liked that this book left me wanting more, wanting to know how things would continue from here, but not with a major cliffhanger like my life would depend on reading this series.

While I initially never had any plans to start this series, I was convinced by a few of my friends to read this book. I was very pleasantly surprised! The story was very wonderfully written and plotted. Very original. The characters were written very realistically. Can't wait to read the next book in this series!!

When I was reading I was quite bored for the first 50 pages or so, then I would get super into it, then it would get boring again, and then it would end on a high note.
