What Members Thought

Absurdity puzzle piece story - cleverly orchestrated. It hit the hilarious, tragic, and the hilariously tragic notes perfectly and he made some unforgettable characters. Everything is wrapped in the believable ridiculousness that is just too brilliant. The only thing that held it back for me is a somewhat soft mid-section, understandable character development that was still rife with irony and satire, but was just somehow unappetizing and repetitive.

Laughed my a** off!!! I loved this novel. A little getting used to at first, because of the timeline, but there are a few ways to wrap your head around that. It got surprisingly emotional in the latter half. Without even realizing it, I grew incredibly fond of a few characters and, well, this novel takes place during World War II so, not everyone makes it out alive, and it got quite sad. But it wasn't long before it got back to it's quirky, humorous self.
