What Members Thought

Am I missing something about this novel? I enjoy reading the classics, particularly 19th century English works, and I have been meaning to read this book for some time. Am I glad I did? Yes. Did I enjoy it? No. Every single character is either despicable or at best unlikeable. That does not make for very good reading especially when you combine it with a story that is predictable and writing that is, although very good, incredibly self-indulgent.
