Wow! What a book! Definitely must be one of the best sci-fi books of all time! To think that I almost tossed the book aside with boredom at the beginning! This is one of those books that starts slow..and really starts to pick up on you as the plot unravels.

Lately, I've felt like I've been in a slump. I've been reading books that I think I should like, only to be disappointed. I was worried that maybe it was just me. Maybe I was burnt out on reading. Is such a thing even possible.
Then I started Dune and it was like the sunshine breaking through the clouds for the gorgeous day of Spring after a long cold winter. Why did I wait so long to read this? It was absolutely brilliant and reminded me why I love reading so much.
