I picked this book up on a whim at a book fair because I love reading about transgender issues, and I thought it would be fun to read a first person account of a hetero male transitioning into a lesbian female. It didn't raise any groundbreakingly new notions about the plight of trans people - but this is undoubtedly because it's 2011, and the book was written in 1994.
