Maia Kobabe’s exploration of gender, sexuality and pronouns to be informative and well done.
It’s not an easy topic to describe, because most of the world cannot relate, and therefore can only understand Kobabe’s experiences at a theoretical level – if they choose to try and understand it at all.

I’m really glad this book exists, and I can see it being a relieving and validating experience for some folks to see themselves reflected in it; or an informative book for people wanting to understand more perspective on non-binary and asexual identity... I just finished it and want to give it 5 stars, but I’m wrestling with why I am only giving it 3 stars… I think it’s maybe a combination of too close to home and not conclusive enough in a way that is unsettling and making me uncomfortable.
