This book is nothing short of genius. It’s witty, humourous, and philosophically brilliant. It begins with the artist Basil painting a picture of Dorian Gray, who doesn’t enter until the next chapter, but is characterized by his youthful innocence and beauty. Soon, though, Dorian becomes corrupted by a man named Lord Henry and believes that his everlasting beauty is more important than his soul.
