Really enjoyed this coming-of-age story. Not sure how much I liked the protagonist/narrator, Nancy Astley (stage name Nan King), but I give her a bit of a break, as she's a young thing, and she does grow through the book, and even at the end is only in her early 30's I think. The most likeable thing about her for me, is she follows her heart (both to bad and good ends). The writing is strong and clear, and at times extremely evocative and expressive. I loved this book, it was more erotic than I expected but very very sweet story. It inspired me to be a Masher for Halloween.
I really love this book.
