Wow! I just loved this. I know I will think about this one for a while. Highly recommended. Parts of this story will take your breath away. Words just escape me after such a beautifully written story. 5 stars and best reads pile.

Think about the most interesting people you've known in your life. In many cases, they were not easy to get to know. They revealed themselves slowly. You learned about them by how they lived their lives now, not by them sitting down and giving you a play by play narrative. This book is like that. Mick, Singer, Jake, the Doctor, every one of the principal characters bring something to the story that the other characters need, but it's not always the character they think will supply it.
