I don't know why but this just wasn't one of my favorite Spark's stories.
Maybe it was the ending that threw me off or maybe I just never felt that connection that I normally do to his characters, either way I just didn't love this book. ...more

I loved this book. I know a lot of people don't like Nicholas Sparks' books because they usually don't end happily. I do love to read a good HEA novel; but, in real life, that doesn't always happen. This book is the story of one girl who loves two men, and the two men who love her in return. I personally think that Savannah ended up with the man that was most right for her. I definitely give this book 5 stars. I loved this book I took it on vacation with me and I couldn't wait to have the time to read it. I loved this book. I hated the ending but I am not going to let that ruin the book for me. I definitely loved it!

This is the first book that made me cry. Nicholas Sparks is truly an inspiration. He certainly made me want to write novels. Dear John has helped me understand the meaning of love and what you have to hold on to.
