What Members Thought
I can sum this book up in just a few words. Arg. Arrrrrgh. Argh? ARRRRRRGGGHHHH! After finishing this book (and it was a good one), for some reason, I feel like drinking and burning something to the ground.

This book was hailed as "grimdark on the high seas," but, for me, it was more of a swashbuckling romp. There was fighting and fucking and betrayal. I truly enjoyed it! But some of the grimmer moments seemed to be put in more for shock value. I didn't get the sense that any of the main characters were truly haunted, or even left profoundly disturbed. All bravely persevered in their own ways, which was the only aspect that flat-lined for me. Otherwise, completely guilty of staying up way too late
