I absolutely LOVED this book! I have to say, this is by far, one of my favorite books. The way Nicholas Sparks pulls you in, he makes you feel what the characters feel. The only book that truly made me cry, it has such a bittersweet ending. I recommend it to ANYONE!!

So Nicholas Sparks has an autism theme going. This is the second book that has a character with autism.

I had a hard time connecting to the main characters in this book. Not sure if it was because they were young (early 20's) or if it was that the male character was in the army.

I found the story line sappy. The author really took the duty first theme to the limit this time. The sacrifice, was just not believeable.

Is it just me or do Nicholas Sparks books have some kind of pattern? Fall in love, somebody gets sick, somebody dies, ending: really sad.

The book Dear John blew the movie out of the water. I read this book before I saw the movie and when I saw the movie I was disappointed for sure. Dear John was the first book that ever brought me to tears and I would recommend it for sure!
