The novel begins following the lives of and switching perspectives between ten seemingly random, unrelated people. We soon discover however, that these characters have much more in common than previously thought, for all of them have been invited to stay at the same mansion on a remote island by a mysterious homeowner. As the guests arrive according to their summoning, they notice that something isn't quite right; their "host" is nonexistent and the boat they came in has left them stranded. Matters become even worse as murders begin to take place. Remaining guests soon realize that someone is not who they say they are and that each islander harbors a very dark secret. Soon enough, alliances are formed, accusations are made, and special attention is paid to a certain old nursery rhyme in attempt to catch the killer and preserve lives. But nothing is as it seems on Solider Island, all that can be predicted is who will go next because just when you think that you have solved the mystery there are none.

I loved the way in which this book was so entertaining and challenging at the same time. The thrilling plot kept me turning pages while my mind stretched to the farthest regions to try and solve the mystery. Unfortunately, the murderer would have gotten the best of me too because they were not only careful and meticulous but also very creative in their scheming. I find it unfathomable how great authors like Agatha Christie can bring such imaginative and complex stories to us through the written word. With that said, I found this classic overall enjoyable and would highly recommend it to anyone.
