This book was amazing surprisingly good.
I didn't know what to expect when I started reading it. Juliette was an awesome female lead, she was a little bit annoying at some parts but overall she was very likable. Adam was ok, he wasn't my favorite but he didn't annoyed me. My favorite characters: Warner and Kenji. Warner isinsane an interesting character. I'm glad I would know more about him in Destroy Me, the way he treated Juliette was sweet but sick at the same time. And Kenji, oh God! he was

Shatter Me BR
4/5 Stars
The first thing which attracted me to this book was the cover (no, not the one on Goodreads. The other beautiful cover.) And probably, also the synopsis.
I mean, a girl who's touch can kill people...? Yes please.
Now throw in romance; an evil lover, a childhood lover; and some badass actions... You get an exciting and gripping book!

4 out of 5 stars.
This book relays draws you in emotionally. Anyone with a heart would feel for Juliette.
This is a dystopian novel set in a time wear mother nature as gone wacko. There is little food, and what food there isn't exactly tasty of appealing. The weather is unpredictable and there are no animals or plants in sight. Earth looks like a barren waste land full of old buildings. The reestablishment rose to powers with claims that it would turn Earth into the beauty it once was. The Reestab ...more

I really don't know what to make of this book.
Yes, the writing style is absolutely gorgeous and is thought provoking and was a joy to read. However the instalove in this book annoyed me and the amount of times it had the word "touch" in it drove me crazy.
Juliette wasn't my favourite character and I couldn't connect with her. I like Adam and think he was the best developed character in the book and Warner creeped me out and made my skin crawl.

I waited so long to read this book because I wanted to marathon the whole trilogy. Now that I have read this book, I am sorry I waited so long. I loved Taherah Mafi's writing and how her words just flowed endlessly off the pages. The premise about a girl that you kill with her touch is so fresh and innovative. The main character Juliette's way of thinking is so different to what I have read and I enjoyed her journal writings. I also liked Adam, James and Kenji as supporting characters in this bo
