There really does not seem to be much point in reviewing this book; it is rightly regarded as a classic and there are hundreds of people just right here on this page who will tell you why better than I can.

The only reason I can think of that you would even be looking at my opinion is that maybe you're someone who knows me, or has seen one of my other reviews and clicked through to see more. So with that in mind:

I'll say it right away: I was just not the audience for this book. I almost gave it three stars because I did like it but y'know ... I just wasn't CAPTURED by it. I sometimes had to force myself to read it.
My biggest problem with the book was actually the flow.
The language itself persistently screws it up. 1/15 sentences will go something like this:
Then he went into the desert, threw the bag over his shoulder.
You see the problem? There should be an "and". There are a lot of these missing "ands"
