Writing like as always is excellent. The plot is well paced and plot twists were handled very well. However, I figure out why I am not fully in love with this series. I cannot stand these characters for the most part. I just want to strangle them for a majority of the time. I cannot stand the relationship between Emma and Jacob. How the hell is this okay because Jacob is basically dating an 80+ year old woman who is his grandfather's ex. That is just beyond creepy and disgusting.

The second book progresses in a very interesting way, but I just can't get over the writting. It's so detached and simplified at times and it takes away from the storyline so much.
Also, I don't think Jacob is likable in any way, shape or form.
I don't care for the photos as well, they're just weirdly inserted into the storyline.
Overall, the story is very good, but I struggled a lot with the way it's written.
I'm going to finish the trilogy because I want to know what happens, but that's all. ...more

Alright, this book was really cheesy. The beginning was really, really slow, and like I said, cheesy and it continued to be throughout the book. I found some parts okay and for the most part the characters themselves were fine, but nothing amazing. The ending was cool and could have made up for the rest, but it got cheesy again. Overall, this was just eh.

I liked this book more than the first one but at times I found it rather slow. The ending was AMAZING...I thought I knew what was going to happen but this plot threw some wicked curve balls! Cannot wait to start Library of Souls. ♥
