I started Hollow City straight after I finished the first book and I have to say, it really helped me keep track of the story!
I found the second book a little slower than the first one but I still enjoyed where the story went and the photographs. In fact, I found that there seemed to be a lot more images in Hollow City and they were a lot more real looking (even though the photographs are real in both). Man, I don't know why it took me so long to continue with this series, because that was a RIDE. The world Ransom Riggs has created with these novels is so incredibly fascinating. All the different peculiar abilities, the twists and turns, all of it from start to finish is just a wonder for the mind to experience.
My only problem with this series is that none of the characters really have much of a hold on me. Normally for me to love a book, I need to have characters that I really love. And ...more
