This was the first high fantasy book I have ever read and I really enjoyed it. I am absolutely in love with all the characters! Celaena is officially one of my all time favorite characters.

When I wasn't reading this book, I was thinking about it. I was always wanting to find out what was going to happen. I love Celaena and her personality, she's just so interesting and awesome! There was just enough action and romance in here.. I liked all the different elements the book had.

read mostly through audiobook, & in this case I think it really helped increase my enjoyment.
I thoroughly enjoyed it; & after seeing that so many people didn't like this one but thought the sequal was great, I'm excited to move on.

Good start to a series. I really enjoyed Celaena's character. She is strong willed. But, I found the world not so new and fresh. I will continue the series, but it's not going to be priority.
