2nd time around and I loved it even more <3
HOW IS THIS BOOK EVEN REAL IT'S SO PERFECT.
Every aspect I love about fantasy and every type of character I love was in this book. It felt a lot like The Infernal Devices to me, which, can I just say, made. Me. So. Happy.
I'm so thrilled that I still have tons of books left in this series, because I already miss this world. The hype is all completely deserved, and I think everyone should read this book. I'm obsessed. ...more

Second time reading this and I take back every bad thing I ever said about it because I think I was thinking about the wrong book. This was awesome! I will express my full feels in the near future.

This book was AMAZING. I have been wanting to start this series for ages but I couldn't really afford to buy all three books (I knew that I would want to marathon them). However, I managed to get the first book really cheap on my Kindle, and I finally decided to pick it up! I have been on a bit of a contemporary streak since January and so I was worried that I would struggle to read a fantasy book - especially since I hadn't really read any high fantasy before. For me this book lacks suspense. It only build up towards the ends. It also became boring at some parts. I hope the sequel will be a lot better
