Reread May 2016 -- still just as amazing as the first time!
Wow. So I expected to at least LIKE this book because it was written by one of my favorite authors... But I never expected to love it. I mean obviously I was hoping it would be awesome, but Sarah J. Maas has already created an incredible series that I'm so in love with, and I can't expect that she would have it in her to create TWO insanely, amazing series. I'm so impressed with her right now... This was such an amazing book. The world, the characters, the story progression/pacing....it was all perfect. I love fairytale retellings!

Just okay. I didn't fall in love with the characters or setting. I'm not a big fairytale re-telling reader. Not my fav. This one was not my fav either. Oh well.

My favorite Sarah J. Maas book by far! Absolutely gripping, whimsical, and overall amazing! I really liked Feyre, and much prefer her to Celaena from Throne of Glass. I LOVED Rhys, probably my favorite character in the book. His moral ambiguity and enigmatic presence--I JUST LOVE IT. I totally ship Feyre with Rhys, and cannot wait to see more of them in book 2. The world is just fascinating, which is expected coming from Sarah J. Maas, who I think is very strong when it comes to world-building.

Such a good retelling of a fairytale, not to mention I love the Fae lore. It's very interesting. But I loved this book, I love Sarah J Maas's writing!
