3.5/5 — whew finally finished reading this after being on and off with it the last few months cause I kept getting bored 🫣 it’s pretty simplistic as a fantasy but it’s a fun lil read. I heard the second one is good so I might read that at some point

I was really excited for this book and this was one of my most anticipating releases of 2015 first because it's written by Sarah J. Maas and also because it is a Beauty and the Beast retelling and I love retellings. Believe me, I wasn't disappointed when I finished this book. The plot, the characters and the writing style were amazing just like the author got us used to. Feyre was a pretty good main character but that girl is stubborn as hell. This was a great read. I definitely saw a lot of beauty and the beast retold - much appreciated. Some plot elements did have a Twilight flavour, but that isn't a problem.
I did have a few problems with this (like why not fall for the nice and witty guy? And why the 'Cauldron' bs? It didn't get explained and it was so strange to read that it pulled me out of the story every time)
