Reread 24/1/21 - 28/1/21. Still adore this book, especially the last 100 pages. So excited to jump right into ACOMAF again.

Hard rating. Stuck between a 4 and a 4.5... Honestly think it's like a 4.25... Better than my other 4's but not quite the same as my 4.5's/5's.

So I was really excited starting this book. It's Sarah J Maas, who's one of my favourite ever authors. I bloody love Throne of Glass, so I was expecting to love this one too. So I was really excited starting this book. It's Sarah J Maas, who's one of my favourite ever authors. I bloody love Throne of Glass, so I was expecting to love this one too. That, plus all the hype surrounding this book, made me 1000% certain I'd have a new favourite. So when I was 100 pages into this, and kind of bored, I was so shocked and disappointed. I wasn't sold on the romance, and not much actually happened. But as it went on, it started to get better, and then when it was 2am and I found myself not wanting to stop reading, I knew I was addicted.

I found Feyre to be an interesting main character. I liked how she looked after her family for so long, despite them treating her so badly. I liked how she was angry, unlikeable, cold etc, as I find those characters so much more interesting than the nicey-nicey goody-goody characters that are often found in books. I also really liked how strong she was at the end, with the tasks. I do have a teensy complaint. I wish she hadn't been so good at everything. I wish she'd have had some training sessions with Lucien, or something to give reason why she'd be so amazingly skilled. I mean, I know she was a good huntress, hence the reason for everything that happened. But still...

My favourite character was Lucien. I loved him. Not in a romance way with Feyre, but as good friends. I also prefer Rhysand to Tamlin... I found Tam kind of boring, but Rhys seems so mysterious. I am a sucker for a bad-boy with a secret good heart. I can't help but love those characters.

I now have a long wait until book 2. All that is said is 2016, so it could be ages. But I hope it's soon because this book was very good and I want to know what happens next. I hear this series is a trilogy, so 2 more books in this world will be very cool! ...more

The moment I finished this beautiful enchanting story, I cried happy tears. This book absolutely took my breath away. I think I have to put this in my top favorite books of all time. My favorite book Sarah J Maas has written. I think this is the perfect retelling. Everything was very light, you could only really tell if you knew Beauty and The Beast by heart. Favorite book of this year by far, and might even be of all time. Up there with Harry Potter, and for me that's saying something. I think ...more

This was fantastic! The writing was beautiful and kept me hooked throughout the book. The plot was extremely interesting with lots of twists and turns that i did not see coming and the characters were well developed although i found feyre to be extremely stupid at times. I need book 2 and queen of shadows NOW!
